Thursday, May 19 was a day very much like any other. There were no aliens, there were no explosions, there were no near death experiences. In the morning my wife and I ate our cereals of choice together, then I walked a very long road to return some books to the library. I met my best friend nearby and we sat on a giant rock and talked. After lunch I headed underground and took the subway home.

Thursday, May 19, many years ago now, was a most unspectacular, yet extremely memorable day.
